after many issues with the driver that was part of (20130121) distribution, I managed to install the driver from the following distribution: (20130522) from the package called "Tools for MK802 IIIS/MK802III/MK802IV Update/Recovery" that can be downloaded from this link: http://www.rikomagic.com/en/download/download_20_1.html. This is a 905kB package (the file you download following that link is Batch tool+driver .zip).

With this driver and batch tool I uploaded both the image from 21st of January 2013 mentioned above and the one from 28th of April 2013 that can be downloaded at: http://www.rikomagic.com/en/download/download_18_1.html

Hope this will help others too :)

I had all the same prob as other in here it could´nt detect the device decently.
Then er come to that conclusion that it mayby could be because i am running 64 bit
Then i installed a 32 bit xp in my virtual machine and WHHHOOOUUUPPS all problems gone and it work like a charme in first attemp.
I think there 64 bit drivers sucks.
THX for a very god manual.

All the device hookup and hardware recognition was easy, but I'm also getting hung up on the drivers. I've tried a number of drivers for Win7x64 and finally decided to go the VirtualPC XP route as you suggested. Can you point me at the specific driver that you used?

Thanks!

I had no problems with the connection/recognition but am stuck on the driver install. I am on a Win7x64 and tried a variety of drivers linked in this forum, with no luck. I finally decided to give the WinXP Virtual machine a try as you suggested. Can you please direct me to the specific drivers that you used?

Thanks!

I managed to install the RK30 driver under WIN8 64Bit after:

"cmd" with admin rights:
Code: Select all
bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

reboot and install the WIN7 64Bit drivers.

Does anyone know if you can do the flash recovery procedure from a Mac instead of a windows pc?
