Unfortunately, the little usb port on the side of my MK80IIIS is broken.
I still have the big USB port and also the one which is used for power.

But connecting the power port does not seem to trigger Windows.
I have not tried the big USB port as I do not have the right cable.
Is it worth buying a cable and trying the big USB port instead?

>> i have opened case
why?

1. push button and hold it
2. connect micro-USB OTG to PC
Driver installation should start (search the forum for detailed description)
3. release button

Hi!
My MK802IIIS would't boot. I have been trying to start the recovery process, but the problem is that I can't locate the reset push button. When I try to put a metal pin in that little whole at the rear of the device the pin runs into something hard.. or goes all the way through. No click or any other activity suggesting that there is button there occurs. Is there something else I can do to help the problem or should I just send it down the toilet?

you can try to open the device carefully, and surely you will see the button.
You can open the device by using a credit card starting at the hdmi port side, and go along the sides to pop it open.

Hi!

Pleas help me somebody, i got the mk802IIIS-BT-8GB, it was reseting from time to time (came with Android 4.1) so i decided to upgrade.
I downloaded 4.2.2. from http://www.rikomagic.com/en/download/download_18_1.html the "MK802IIIS8B Android 4.2 software(20130618)"
version. Everything went ok, pluged in, its booted, working.
But!
Now i can not play any video from Internet (i installed just Firefox): youtube says i need apllication to open when i click on play.
I was watching on previous fw online series and now when i get to play te video just black box is standing there (for instance: putlocker: video is loading)
and thats it :(
What im missing? No flash for 4.2.2.? Or what?

Thank you in advance for help and sorry for my poor englich, but i hope i managed to explain my problem.

I solved my Windows 8 (64bit) drive Code Error 48 by doing the following (from the MS community):

1. Click Start , and then click All Programs.
2. Click Accessories, and then click Run.
3. Type regedit, and then click OK.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

4. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

5. In the right pane, click UpperFilters.

Note You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click UpperFilters only. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you still might have to remove the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 8.

6. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
7. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
8. In the right pane, click LowerFilters.

Note If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you any further. Go to the "Next Steps" section for information about how you can find more solutions or more help on the Microsoft Web site.

9. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
10. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
11. Exit Registry Editor.
12. Restart the computer.

Hope this helps anyone.

Thanks,
