Rikomagic MK802 IIIS power

Postby jabalv » Mon Apr 01, 2013 5:00 pm

What exactly is needed power for Rikomagic MK802 IIIS?
I just tried it from my PC usb, then it works fine. But it shut down after some heavy app opening when it`s connected to TV USB port, which gives output 5V @ 0,5A

It is suggested to use 2a. power supply....I have had no problems by following that recommendation.

I read quite a lot on different forums and found that you should use a 11W (2.1A 5V) adapter for best result.

I run that and I have never had any blackscreen, glitches or problem at all.

I have power problem also. I use power supply 2A-5V and it doesn't help. After a few min of using it's turn off and I get black screen.
Do you have any suggestions? is the HW is damaged?

Can I use usb hub (external AC powered) as charger (5v,2.1A) and also as a hub
The charger cord will connect to chargerable port os the hub, while the data cable will connec the usb host to the hub
