No signal on TV

Postby dbc » Mon Sep 09, 2013 5:53 pm

My Rikomagic 802 IIIs stopped working after two or three days. I no longer see any signal on TV (I used to see the Rikomagic logo followed by Android screen after a while). I tried with couple different TV sets, same result. I iterate through all the AV signals, no difference. I now suspect my children may have damaged it, although I never saw them touch it.

Is there a way to diagnose the device? I cannot even tell if it is powered on after connecting to a USB charger.

Thanks for providing any directions into how to troubleshoot it.

Even I had faced exactly the same problem and found out that HDMI cable was the culprit. Check with a different and better quality HDMI cable.

Check the connection between the HDMI and the TV. If there is nothing wrong, you may check whether there installed a wireless jammer.

I advise you to use the additional power supply 5V, 2000mA.
The USB port provides about 500mA only.
I applied 5.2V/2100mA - it works fine.
