As a relative novice, is it actually possible that an attempted firmware update, or any type of tinkering for that matter, could render an MK802 totally unrecoverable?

Hello, I tried to re-flesh my rikomagic with different firmware and every time I see the error: "Prepare IDB fail". I tried also to install pickuntu but there was the same error! Nobody can help me, please? :(

you connect the device to your tv then enable the pc via usb selection in settings then disconnect from tv and connect to pc via otg port

your computer will power the device when it is connected to i

802 won't boot if there is not connected to 'DC', so must we disconnect DC ?
I am confused because PC don't see my 802 with or without DC. I mean i set up checkbox and then connect 802 to PC. No matter does DC plugged in - PC wont find any device (with driver or without - there is nothing new at device manager).

And btw - this method is different than methiod listed at manual, why is this so ?

i mean i plugin DC, cpnnect 802 to TV, check a chechbox, disconnet from TV and connect it once again to check that checkbox is still there, than disconnect it once more and connect to PC via USB2OTG. PC don't see any device. I guess that if i unplug the ВС checkbox became unchecked, so what should i do ? How to make my PC detect my 802 ?

This was broken cable. The cable that was in a box with 802 was not working.
So i downgraded.. that i upgraded to august ROM (not December at which i was at the beginning), that's better - FullHD is bot perfect, but much better.
Interesting moment - my LG TV (32LN613V) eats everything i can give it to. No matter MKV or what.. i am sure that CPU at TV is weaker. But FullHD is smoth without any delays..

Hi guys, my mk802 iv is just arriving and when I will have it I would like to update it to the last available firmware. But there is a problem: I use lubuntu
What would I have to do?

On vista: for drivers, everything is ok. At the moment of flashing: ''I didn't do because of not supporting'' . what would I have to do?
