rayanah , I am going to make a suggestion : if you can use your tv's usb socket as a power source , do so , because the tv will protect any device from a surge .

THIS is the one you want. http://www.ebay.com/itm/181158294848?ss ... 1497.l2648
I get full speed with this, 50/50MB and no installation needed, just plug in and activate ethernet.

Finally I am satisfied :D

I purchased the same one, works fine!

confirm the support of the Level One USB-0301 USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet Adapter.
Down/Up line is about 5.25/5.25 megabytes per second

What is the speed for download. I use something similar and the speed is horrible (it uses usb 1.1 <10mbps 0,9 MB/s)

I also have the same problem. Bought a network adapter but speed is limited to 600kbps.. I have tryed different configuration but speed is 12mbps on the usb channel (aka 1.1)

lsusb report it as
Kontron (Industrial Computer Source / ICS Advent) DM9601 Fast Ethernet Adapter --> Driver=SR9700_android, 12M
