I used a low overclock to start with and the stick actually runs cooler then it did with the rikomagic kernal, so I recon you could try a medium overclock without any issues, but as it worked for me I really couldn't be bothered to reflash and reload my apps again, it does everything I wanted it to do now, mame, XBMC and web are all fine

okay, I'm not interested in faster device (It is fast enough, for me), and I do not want my device melt, too.

I just would like stable wifi and "Mega Run" ... :)

Okay, it's done.

I tried a 720p/1.7G/1200M overclocked kernel, and tried the no overclocked kernel from that pack you pointed.

Those were both worse than the original 720p firmware on my device.

I can use my dongle with the original 720p firmware the least wrong, but I don't will use it, because I don't want to wait youtube buffering 20 seconds after 10 secons of playing, and I would like to play games "Mega Run".

Thanks for everyone the tips and help.

Be cool ! Probably my HW is the bad guy. I have a wrong one simply, or the "spread of the parts" (I don't know the right words exactly) of the MK802IV is so large, that they require different tweaks in software to work correctly.

I made a promise to myself yesterday, that I will not flash a firmwire to my device, again ... but I feel, I cannot stand it ... I will try the newest official fw, again ... :)

If anyone try this can please provide feedback? I am sick of testing every new fw as all of them turn out to be sloppy.

Thanks

Could you tell me/us how you update firmware? I've done:

've successfully installed drivers to this device - I do everything correctly with provided manual and this "green button" in BathTool does not appear - I think it is something with option "Connect to PC" - when I press this option - my cursor disappears and it looks like device is suspended.

I've got this Wireless Mini Keyboard i8 which Rikomagic recommends

I just tested it, and it seems quite good.

This is the first fw with what I could play "Mega Run" on my device. This firmware did not crash like the previous, it went good, and the games which rebooted my device with the former firmwares, went well with this new one.

I only dislike, that the 1080p is too slow for the device, everything goes with 30FPS, wich is good for movies, but not enough for me playing or simply navigating the menu. It's flickering, wibrating. Simply too low FPS. 60FPS is a must for me.

And of course it did not solve the wifi+bluetooth problem, with wifi only, youtube is stream well, but with wifi+bluetooth the youtube is buffering after some seconds of playing.

But unfortunately, it was my last test probably, because I think my device got bricked.

Ather the above testing of the firmware, I wanted to flash back former firmware (I don't like the 30FPS), but the the flasing procedure is failed now. I flashed the device formerly 5-6 times well, with both of the tools, everything went well always.

Now, after the failed flashing procedure, my device is not booting, and not connecting for the PC via USB for flashing.

Maybe not liking the many flashes ... :)
