Screen resolution issue

Postby eleinad » Sat Jan 11, 2014 10:31 am

Hello,
could you please tell me if is possibile to change the screen resolution? It only possible use the 1920x1080?
I tried to do it on terminal with the standard ubuntu command but it seems not working.
I have a LG tv 37'' and it not support that high resolution. I want get 1024x768 or max 1280x1024.

Thanks
Regards
D.

I'm interested in this one as well!
How can I change the resolution to 1280x720 for example?

Hello,

I've the same problem. I think we have to build an other kermel, but I don't know how.

If someone find a solution, I will be very glad.

Hello, I'm wondering if there's been a fix to this issue. I've been able to boot up with a generic 1280x1024 monitor but when I try to go to a different monitor I get the "HDMI out of range". Like biehlstefan I'm ultimately wanting to use the Atrix lapdock which runs at 1366x768.

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but has anyone tweaked xrandr to see if extra resolutions (and defaults) can be set?
I've not had chance to look.

Hello,

I just tried xrandr with parameters --newresolution, --addresolution on MK902 LE and it did not work. The resolution appears in system settings, but attempts to select it have no effect.

Will vendor of MK902 address this important issue?
