When it tells you that it can't find the device, what happens if you unplug it and plug it back in (holding the reset with the paper clip again)?

I will try this method today and let you know. Thanks for being of such great help.

Just to be clear: leave livesuit running, don't exit it just to unplug and replug the unit back in.

When you get that error are you then going to the control panel, clicking on the unknown device and then from the properties box that pops up choosing to reinstall the device driver?

By default Windows will search for a driver itself, you need to tell it the exact folder where the usb driver is so that it can install it. It might sound obvious but if you haven't done this it won't work.

The error you are getting means that it is recognising the device exists, which means you are doing things right, but that it needs the driver installed which is included in the downloads linked to in other places in this thread.

I would like to split hairs. Not to be provocative, but to get a better understanding. We keep calling the entity at hand firmware, but it seems to be something more than just that. IOWs, it seems to contains firmware and other stuff. Anyway have details on its breakdown?

There's been more than one date given but expect it from around Wednesday on.

Not if it's BlueTooth (currently there is no (or at least seemingly severely incomplete) support of BT for MK802 Android).

Was a Firmware updated released? My mk802 blew up and keep flickering between resolutions on my HDTV. :( I really need some update to get the video in output in control.
