have you done data/factory reset at first ?
I've done this procedure for tests and recover several times. It definately works. :)
- baserom rev.v2 ICS 4.0.4
- install Custom Recovery from fun_
- download the latest nightly from the first post of Chistian Troy
- GAPS (Google apps) for ICS small or full package
- download legacy.zip for mk802. It's not an option, it's a must !
- reboot in recovery
- reset data/factoryreset
- CM9_last_nightly
- Gapps
- legacy.zip
- reboot

first boot needs a few minutes longer than regulare boot. If it hangs on loading screen, pull power plug, wait, start again. Should boot now.
If the screen is black, pull power, remove microsd and try again.

That's all
The names and versions for the needed files will most likely differ in future, but It can't be so hard to find out which is the newest, if you compare version numbers and dates in filenames.

BTW
Did someone test Christian Troy's other ROM (AOKP) ? He said, that both ROMs should work with legacy.zip

Ah, I see your problem. You followed the link of the first post. The link is outdated. That was I was talking about.
The actual legacy.zip is in this folder.

The link to CWM ( Custom Recovery) from the first post should be that from fun_ .
