Printing

Postby vic14 » Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:06 pm

I received my MK802 yesterday, It's way cool, unbelievable what comes in such a tiny package, one question, How do I set-up a printer, on my MK802. my printer is setup for wireless access (HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910), I access it thru an IP address on my system.

I use PrintBot on my Android devices. I don't do much printing, and it is rather limited, but for the occasional print job, it works for me.

Hi!

Android printing is a very special topic ;)

You can try Google Cloud Print

PrintBot requires a $4.49 registration fee

I was unaware of what the price was, but I did know it was not free. You can look at CloudPrint, but there is no Android client except for a beta of an app that only sometimes works. PrintBot is an actual driver, and does not need a separate computer to be running (for non-CloudPrint/AirPrint printers).

If printing is necessary, I feel that ~$5 is a very reasonable price. Even moreso, because you can then use that same license for all your Android devices (which in my household includes a tablet and several different phones).
