Working air mouse & wireless keyboard combos ...and not!

Postby DaveJFT » Wed Jun 20, 2012 7:45 am

Hi Folks,

I've found that my Gyration GO 2.4GHz USB WiFi keyboard and air mouse are not recognised by the MK802.

I want to start a topic for my, and other noobies, information on what air mice & wireless keyboards folks are having success with and what we should avoid.

If the forum lets me, I'll come back and edit this post as people reply to generate a list of working and not working WiFi Airmouse/Trackpad HID kit. [Edit] What I won't add to this list thought is general WiFi keyboards and desktop mice because the list would end up being almost endless and you'd be very unlucky to find one that does not work (but if people do find wireless HID that does not work I'll add that as an advisory to others).

Not working:
Gyration GO 2.4Ghz WiFi keyboard and air mouse (older version - new PLUS version not yet tested)
Any Bluetooth HID (only 2.4GHz Wireless devices are supported at present)

Working Wireless Keyboard & Airmice combos
Koolertron 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Air Fly Mouse/Keyboard
MELE F10

Working Airmice only:
Windows 7 Vista XP Media Center MCE PC IR Remote Control (except for a few buttons)
Logitech MX Air Wireless Rechargeable Airmouse

Working Wireless Keyboards with Touchpads or Trackballs
Thinity Wireless Entertainment Keyboard
Logitech K400 Wireless Keyboard + Touchpad
Logitech K700 Wireless Keyboard + Touchpad
VisionTek CandyBoard Mini Wing
KeySonic ACK-540RF
Lenovo N5901 Wireless Remote + Keyboard [Trackball]
Rapoo Wireless Multi-media Touchpad Keyboard E2700
iPazzPort KP-810-10A Google TV 2.4 G mini wireless keyboard
Rii Touch 240

Cheers!

Dave

Has anyone tried one of these:

The description and specs specifically mention Android OS.

Hi all!

I'm using the trust thinity:

http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=16816

It works very well. I have a problem though. I've bought a french keyboard "azerty". The mini pc recognizes it as a "qwerty". Does anybody how I can change the settings in order to use it properly as it is; as an "azerty" keyboard?

I'm looking forward to any responses, advices or help.

Hi all,

I'm using the Trust thinity:

http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=16816

It has been recognized and works well. My only problem is, that I bought a french keyboard layout version "azerty". It is recognized as a "qwerty" though and I would like to know if anybody knows how to change settings in order to use it as the layout actually is ; as an "azerty".

I'm looking forward to your experiences, advices and clues.

Thanks

I could do with knowing how to change the keyboard layout too. My MK802 is seeing my UK QWERTY keyboard as a US keyboard.

...and typing this on my MK802 it seems I also need to sort out my dictionaries too.

While not an air mouse, I can confirm that a Logitech K400 Wireless keyboard + touchpad is working. The tap-to-click is somewhat sensitive. Two-finger scrolling works.

This Windows MCE remote works as well (most but not all keys work, and the analog mouse pad works):

Dave,

I haven't found out an issue yet. But I'm running Ubuntu now and it works (even two fingers scrolling).

I'm using a VisionTek CandyBoard Mini Wing, and it works fine. There are a few caveats, such as some buttons function differently (right-click opens Browser, the Internet key on the keyboard goes Home, Esc is Back, &c.), but otherwise, I haven't experienced any issues. The battery seems to go quickly, but it operates on barely any juice, so I don't really notice any problems. I may test my Microsoft Wireless 5000 keyboard and mouse later, to see how a full-sized option works ...

the $32 flymouse/keyboard from Aliexpress.com works great! It seems as if it was designed for the MK802. Like the 802 it is small enough to put in your poket.
