THE MK802 II Recovery How to, Tools, Firmware and Benchmarks

Flashing is different in MK802 II. Here is procedure to flash in MK802 II.

Tools Needed -

1. Phoenix Card
2. Minimum 2gb SD-Card
3. SD-Card Writer
4. WIndows OS
5. Image File

Steps -

1. Plugin your SD-Card Writer with SD-Card
2. Run PhoenixCard.exe
3. Select Disk Drive
4. Select Image File
5. Select Write Mode - Product
6. Burn
7. After Image is written to SD Card, pull out and insert SD Card into MK802II
8. Power on MK802II, wait for 4-5 minutes, power indicator (blue light) will automatically turn off
9. Remove SD Card and power MK802II again.
10. Voila. Image flashed. Enjoy.

Worked great for me. Just flashed it. Waiting to do some more benchmark testing.

But be aware of the following potential issue: I initially used a SD adapter to slot my microSD into my laptop and got "Card preprocess failed.1012" error in PhoenixCard tool.

I then use a USB microSD card reader and everything work fine then.

My microSD card reader dont want to work with phoenix, but i tried with SD adapter and card reader built in my printer and everythings worsk great.

One thing i dont know how to do in new soft is how to unhide the status bar hidden with the new built in function ?

You have to use card writer, as many inbuilt card writers are not able to write partition tables.

How is this image different then what is on the mk802 II that I purchased?
Where do I get cwm to install on it as well?

So, just to be clear, are you saying that the MK802 flashing procedure can not be used but in fact should not be used for the II? Or, is this just an alternative?

For example I've got mine from rikomagic.com (email address removed) and also from site where i bought it, but before I write some mails to them with description of my problems with mk802 ii.

Almost the same time, the same links just showed up here. So img is from developers of mk i think

You will not be able to MK802II into recovery mode easily, no matter how much times you press that recovery button.
So no recovery mode means no Livesuit.
