Which can't be done due to the read/write permissions?

Have you done this step?
If so how?

If not
You say the gamepad still works as long as you create touch profiles?

I only installed Droidmote, created a touch profile for Final Fantasy 3, uploaded it to my phone, and played. No issues at all:)

My ff3.xml:
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<profile>
<screen-size x="1280" y="720" orientation="0"></screen-size>
<left-stick x="295" y="591" radius="109"></left-stick>
<right-stick x="1016" y="603" radius="98"></right-stick>
<button-x x="646" y="313" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-x>
<button-b x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-b>
<button-circle x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-circle>
<button-y x="1150" y="49" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-y>
<button-triangle x="977" y="55" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-triangle>
<button-z x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-z>
<button-square x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-square>
<button-a x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></button-a>
<arrow-up x="434" y="516" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-up>
<arrow-down x="442" y="639" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-down>
<arrow-left x="138" y="579" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-left>
<arrow-right x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-right>
<arrow-nw x="126" y="489" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-nw>
<arrow-ne x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-ne>
<arrow-sw x="147" y="674" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-sw>
<arrow-se x="0" y="0" swipe="none" sw-distance="0"></arrow-se>
</profile>

It's not 100% compatible with the gamepad as you can see, I have to use the mouse for some magic etc, but this is something you can tweak as you want.

Edit:
Uploaded the screenshots I used to configure, and the .xml to my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/syadok9t2dt1ygn/kPec39-yOb

With the last versions of DroidMote Client / Server , you can use also your hardware controller to play multi-touch games without controller support.

Search in youtube: droidmote proxies
