Hello
I have the same problem mentioned here I have a Rikomagic mk 802 II.
I downloaded Root Explorer (which is not free) and I clicked on the box mount r/w rebooted
The system rebooted and it was back to R/O
I can't save the permissions because the system is locked and added a line that is supposed to help but couldn't save, system locked
I've tried all the fixes here but can't get anywhere

My machine says that it is mounted R/W
I got into the permissions for the extsd and tried to add all the possibility to R/W but it says
Permissons change was not successful. Please note that some file systems(e.g. SD cARD) do not allow permission changes

I found the solution :D . Now I can write files to an external USB NTFS formatted HDD.

I realized that, from the command line, being super user, I could write to the hard drive without any problem, so I tried to change the permissions to the directory the drive was mounted to.

The simple solution, if you're rooted, is as follows:
1. Using a root-enabled file manager, navigate to /system/etc/permissions and make sure you have mounted the file system r/w.
2. Edit platform.xml and find the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
3. Add an additional group definition for this permission...<group gid="media_rw" />
4. Save the changes to the file.
5. Restart your tablet.

So, now my MK802 able to write, read, torrent etc. with my external HDD. I use Esfileexplorer which has recognized my laptop and the shared folders on it, so it is working perfectly. But how can I manage my external HDD and my attached pendrives and the mk802 itself from my win7 laptop? For example, I would like to use Total Commander.

Thanks for your support in advance.

I try this fix.. But Now I can't write nowhere. For some reason the permission of sdCard changed it.
I try change permissions to RW with Root Explorer but I can't. Return a error "some system file dosen't have permission".

Any idea?
