For some reason I am unable to open this archive using p7zip on ubuntu.

$ p7zip -d lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z

7-Zip (A) [64] 9.20 Copyright (c) 1999-2010 Igor Pavlov 2010-11-18
p7zip Version 9.20 (locale=en_US.UTF-8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,2 CPUs)

Processing archive: lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z

Error: Can not open file as archive

------------------

Are there any other versions archived with zip or gzip available?

I tried the wget method on OSX, but my system did not have wget installed. osx comes with CURL (see http://technosophos.com/node/166.)

so the command I used to download the image from a mac was:

Code: Select all
curl -OL http://store.cloudsto.com/downloads/lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z

curl shows the size of the file and progress thus:

Code: Select all
$ curl -OL http://store.cloudsto.com/downloads/lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z
% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current
Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed
  9 1471M    9  132M    0     0  91196      0  4:41:56  0:25:26  4:16:30  100k

HI all,

Andy - not sure how to contact you - do you have any objections to me creating a torrent from the http://store.cloudsto.com/downloads/lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z

download? I have just used curl to get it to my mac and after about 7 restarts it arrived:

Code: Select all
localhost:rikomagic user$ curl -OL http://store.cloudsto.com/downloads/lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z
% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current
Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed
 13 1471M   13  193M    0     0  93168      0  4:35:58  0:36:14  3:59:44 80216
curl: (18) transfer closed with 1340067685 bytes remaining to read
localhost:rikomagic user$ curl -OL http://store.cloudsto.com/downloads/lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z
% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current
Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed
 19 1471M   19  285M    0     0  92249      0  4:38:43  0:54:06  3:44:37  143k
curl: (18) transfer closed with 1243184901 bytes remaining to read
localhost:rikomagic user$ curl -C - -OL http://store.cloudsto.com/downloads/lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.7z
** Resuming transfer from byte position 299508363
% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current
Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed
 25 1185M   25  305M    0     0   105k      0  3:12:00  0:49:29  2:22:31 68053
curl: (18) transfer closed with 922690741 bytes remaining to read

and so it went on. I'd like to establish a torrent if you're ok with that?

cheers,

mark

When I look at the contents of the SD card on my Widows PC, it lists two files "evb.bin" at 42 kb & "uImage" at 3849 kb.

Same here. Here's what my SD card looks like in Windows 7 beforehand:

Then, after using ImageWriter to put the lubuntu-1204-rikomagicuk.img on my SD, it looks like this:

Image

Capacity goes from ~8GB to ~16MB, what?
