Rikomagic 902 II switch on automatically

Postby falonso1 » Thu Oct 02, 2014 7:10 am

I got this tv box a couple of days ago and I am very happy with the device so far.

I realized that after a couple of hours the device switches automatically from standby to on.

Is this a known issue that will be fixed in next releases or is this a setting in android?

Please advice!!

This happens on my device as well, I haven't checked how long it stays off but I have noticed that after putting it on standby it later has turned itself back on. Had a thought that it might detect a signal from another remote and therefore turn on again?

After testing around I found out that this issue could be related to the HDMI connection to my Samsung TV. I am not sure why the TV should sent a signal to the TV Box but if I keep the tv box disconnect from the tv (HDMI) then the TV Box is not automatically switched on!

Interesting, I actually have a Samsung TV as well. I'll have to try and disconnect as well. Strange that the TV could activate the box through the HDMI though

Still a bug, and a very irritating one. It is not supposed to switch on every time you turn on your TV. :(

Completely agree!! Its a bug and should be fixed ASAP in next releases.

Is there somewhere a list of already known bugs or is there a way to open a ticket at Rikomagic Support?

Is it possible to contact direct with Rikomagic Support?

I just tested my 902II, Press power button of the remote, it will go to standby mode, but press it again or move the mouse which connected with the 902II , it will come back on. HDMI cable is always connecting with the device.
Did you press the power button again or move the mouse after it standby?

The 902II always turns on automatically when I switch on the Samsung TV connected to the box by HDMI. Moving the mouse doesn't switch on the 902II.

This happens with me too, but I don't have a Samsung.
I think it might be a bug related to wake on LAN.
Anyhow, to me it seems like it switches on and get into standby mode, as the screen does not show anything. However, when I have a keyboard connected and press "ESC", the display switches on.
