Received my device today. I have the following issue: 2 HDMI displays out of 3 have wrong scale resulting in approx 5% hidden display area. I.e. I can not see the left nor right edge, bottom and top part of the screen. Any idea how to fix? Thanks!

Hi, try to set your TV to "auto fit" most TV's have this feature and it fixes it straight away.

i got a MK802IV LE. So far I am satisfied with this little machine.

However I messed with the OS and I need to re-install. Where can I download the image and get some basic instructions to re-install the OS?

Given that we pay extra for what is essentially a service job (i.e. we get Linux preinstalled, rather than buy a cheaper Android version of the MK802IV and then use Picuntu Nand Basic GUI version and install for free), I would have expected fairly simple stuff like this to be fixed. This was also a problem on the MK802III version which shipped with a 16GB MicroSD card with Picuntu taking only 8GB and the rest remaining unused, but it was easier to resize as we could remove the card and use a PC to change the partitions.

A quick search revealed that the fault is down to lack of power getting to the device.I tried some different usb cables/plugs combinations and ended up buying a single core pengstick purely down to the British 5v power input!

We thought this was a great way to show whats possible on this hardware, personally I think LMMS running on the MK802IV LE blows any android or IOS music software away, and for an ARM device to perform like an x86 machine in this kind of application... Well the future is going to be extremely interesting

I'm evaluating a purchase of an 802IV - LE or not, not sure yet - fundamentally as a media center and on-line movie streamer, or for game play. But I'd also like to hack with it a bit...

I was wondering whether the source code released so far includes the Mali integration, also at the OS userland level. I read the full post here (not the build and flash instructions though) and didn't find clear info about that. I'm curious about how far you got on that front.

I mean, I'm not an extremely experienced expert, but I have some experience about porting Android OS (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum ... s-emev-osp) and I know the integration of 2D and 3D graphic and DSP subsystems is not possible on the OS without either vendor source code, or at least compatible binaries for that OS...

In other words - what does the message " GPU - Mali 400 Supports Open GL ES 1.1 and 2.0 (Linux support coming soon) " mean, in MK802IV LE Specifications?

Any video available about Hi-Res video decoding, or 3D gaming, comparing Android and Picuntu?

thanks
Fabio

2 Questions:

1) Can it boot into android on the main memory, but boot into ubuntu on a micro sd card, if it is inserted? Or vice versa?
2) Has anyone tried it with prezi presentations on prezi.com?

Hi,

I've been continuing to work with my MK802IV LE. WiFi's antenna performance seems not to be optimum so I'd like to use USB-adapter like TL-WN721N, which should be pretty well supported in Linux environment.

$ lsusb
Bus 002 Device 007: ID 0cf3:9271 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR9271 802.11n

However, the adapter does not show in network manager so I assume the driver has not been installed.

I follow http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2139361 to install the driver, but I get an error in step 3 when installing headers:

$ sudo apt-get -y install build-essential linux-headers-generic linux-headers-`uname -r`
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package linux-headers-3.0.36
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'linux-headers-3.0.36'

And of course more errors later...

$ sudo make
./scripts/gen-compat-autoconf.sh /home/picuntu/Desktop/htc_9271/compat-wireless-2012-12-18/.config /home/picuntu/Desktop/htc_9271/compat-wireless-2012-12-18/config.mk > include/linux/compat_autoconf.h
make -C /lib/modules/3.0.36+/build M=/home/picuntu/Desktop/htc_9271/compat-wireless-2012-12-18 modules
make: *** /lib/modules/3.0.36+/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [modules] Error 2

Any idea how to get my USB-adapter to work?

Thanks & Happy New Year 2014!
