MK06 generates narrow picture

No matter which resolution I select, my MK06 generates a narrow (roughly 4:3) picture on my 2 different wide monitors (see the "char drawing" below for an idea). Objects in the narrow picture seem slightly distorted - circles become ellipses etc. - as if the correct picture was squeezed horizontally, leaving black bands on left and right.
When I connect MK05 to these 2 monitors, the picture is correct, i.e. wide, covering complete display area.
Anyone besides me experiencing the above?
Any advices?
