MK802 II -Audio & Video out of sync

Postby Lalle » Sat Sep 15, 2012 4:35 pm

I just got my MK802 II, and I noticed that when I play media over my network, be it flash videos via my browser or video files, the audio is out of sync.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?

I have the same issue... Makes me quite unhappy with it. Streaming video from my NAS or the internet is all I hoped to do...

Bummer.

This is happening for pretty much anything I play, mx player seems to have a very very slight delay. But then stuff like youtube always seems to be pretty bad, not even hd stuff low res stuff has the same problem.

Its pretty frustrating seeing as I bought the damn thing as a mediaplayer first and it seems to struggle doing that.

Hi,

Same issue too.

Several way to explore :
- Wifi transfert rate is slow. I can see it (on my device) when application update from play store.
- Single core, or heavy wifi activity make MK 802II very slow.
- Video decode is mainly SW.

Pack this in a slow processor / architecture, and voila.

I bought it mainly for video player from my NAS over wifi, I'm very disapointed

Hope firmware update may fix it, but I doubt.

BS Player has an Audio Offset (up to + - 3 secs) adjustment, but I think this only works when the decoder is set to SW mode.

MXPlayer has an option to decode audio in software rather than hardware and sometimes this has fixed it for me. The sync issue seems to vary.

When playing Vob files, I use BSPLayer in SW mode as it gets rid of the interlace flicker. HW mode has lots of flicker in horizontal edges of things. Noticeable if you are outputting to a large TV.

Hi,

Maybe hardware decoding may solve some issue.

I also try Dice Player, but no luck. Start with [HW], but return to home few ms after.

Maybe I should give a try to XBMC, even it's experimental for now.

SW mode gives a far better image for large screen use (and no sync issues).

The trick is to find a player which can cope. BSPlayer and VLC seem to do a good job.
