I tried via adb over wifi (a free widget on google play) and the result is the same...

I cannot edit files nor move files.

I am posting my status with MK802 II here.

I got this asking on another forum

Try this, from :http://android-tricks.blogspot.co.uk/2009/01/mount-filesystem-read-write.html

$ adb shell
$ su
$ mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

(Replace /dev/block/mtdblock3 & /system with appropriate device path and mount point, as obtained from cat /proc/mounts)

Problem then is I cant tell what part is meant to be the mount point for system, this is what I get from cat /proc/mounts

Code: Select all
cat /proc/mounts
rootfs / rootfs rw 0 0
tmpfs /dev tmpfs rw,nosuid,relatime,mode=755 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts rw,relatime,mode=600,ptmxmode=000 0 0
proc /proc proc rw,relatime 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs rw,relatime 0 0
tmpfs /mnt/asec tmpfs rw,relatime,mode=755,gid=1000 0 0
tmpfs /mnt/obb tmpfs rw,relatime,mode=755,gid=1000 0 0
/dev/block/nandd /system ext4 ro,nodev,noatime,user_xattr,barrier=0,data=ordered
 0 0
/dev/block/nande /data ext4 rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime,user_xattr,barrier=0,journal
_checksum,data=ordered,noauto_da_alloc 0 0
/dev/block/nandh /cache ext4 rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime,user_xattr,barrier=0,journa
l_checksum,data=ordered,noauto_da_alloc 0 0
/dev/block/nandi /mnt/private vfat rw,relatime,fmask=0000,dmask=0000,allow_utime
=0022,codepage=cp437,iocharset=ascii,shortname=mixed,errors=remount-ro 0 0

Yes, in MK802 II it is
mount -o remount,rw -t ext4 /dev/block/nandd /system

Unluckly, it doesn't work.
I think it is linked to the fact mount binary is in /system/bin.

Hello,

I had the exact same problem as you and I fixed it.

The problem is that the ext4 filesystem on /dev/block/nandd was corrupted. I am not sure whether I corrupted itby myself or if it was corrupted in the original ROM.
The first thing I tried to do was to fix the errors on it with e2fsck (booting with an lubuntu image) but it was not enough, I still couldn't mount the fs in read-write mode.

So I did a complete backup of the content of /dev/block/nandd (with a tar -cpvf still fom lubuntu), recreated an ext4 FS and restored my backup on it.

After rebooting Android, /system was in rw mode!! :D

Tell me if you need a more detailed explanation with the command lines to type.

Hello,
Thanks for the info.

First of all I need to get a proper lubuntu image.
Then I backup /system in a tar and then delete and re-create the partion. Then put back the files.

Ok... Can you provide me a thread or the link to lubuntu image? I can run it from the sd card, isn't it?

Please provide link to proper lubuntu. It can help us fix some problems. EDIT: is it proper version for MK802II http://rikomagic.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=90 ?
Maybe you know different place where we can dig information about our mk802 II?
