I am still waiting for my MK802 ii to arrive, and reading all these issues is a little discouraging.

I read about the power issues (since i will be plugging a k700 keyboard and an external hd) and the heat problems so I actually ordered a 5v 2a plug-in adapter and small aluminium heat sinks just to be on the safe side (they will arrive later than the mk802 ii). Last night, I've read about the phoenixcard not working with some built-in card reader, so i guess I will have to get a usb one if it turns out as such for me.

So at the moment, the 120822 is the more stable firmware - it would probably be a good idea to start a sticky stating which firmware is the most stable at the moment (to help new owners).

It would be great if they would focus on making the firmware stable first before focusing on mk802 iii .....

Thanks for info Bailiff. I too sent an email to support on the issue, no response however. I have re-flashed to the 0822 version and am using VLC Beta for video. No problems with sync at all now so I think I will stick with this version for the meantime.

Same problem for me. I even shutdown correctly.

To be honest, this is shockingly bad quality control. Did no one in Rikomagic actually test this firmware before uploading it?

Very annoyed as I spend a few hours configuring the layout the way I wanted and now I am back to the older firmware.

I think it must have something to do with the SD card. I reflashed this image - took out my 4gb SD card that the 29.09 image was on and left the slot open...then setup google play, updated gmail, went through all the settings for display, language, timezone, etc... disabled android keybard, removed korean keyboard and pinyin, installed dropbox, rebooted multiple times...everything was fine. Popped in my 8gb SD card (blank, by the way) and it stalled on the boot animation. removing the card did not resolve the issue. square one.

Has anyone tested skype on the new version? Does the issue with green/pink video on the receiver end still exist?

When I buy Rikomagic II I was very happy but now that I see its use and support so bad that I'm getting (not counting the amount of problems I read) I feel very sad for my investment.
