Hi torrd25 ,
Are you experiencing smooth 1080 Full HD playback on your MK802ii?
Does it use HW acceleration?

Hello,

at the moment hardware aceleration does not work in XBMC Android, there is a workaround to use XBMC with an external player.

Here a link how it works.

You can have HW Decoding using RockPlayer or MX Player Pro, take a look here - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/01/rock-player-playing-big-video-files-on.html
You can also try the new XBMC release for Android v1.0 Build 20130102 Neon - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/01/xbmc-for-android-v10-build-20130102.html

XBMC works properly on my unit. I used version 20130102 from here:

XBMC doesn't currently use hardware acceleration, so it is effectively limited to low resolution video. There is a very beta version, but it has issues.

The XBMC developers say the reason XBMC doesn't yet support hardware acceleration on the Allwiner SOC is that the code Allwinner has provided them is very buggy and requires fixes from Allwinner.

No idea when - or if, it will ever be done. The ball is in Allwinner's court.

Hi, once I click the APK from (http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/androi ... bi-v7a.apk) XBMC.org, it comes with the option to Cancel or Install, but I am not able to click the install button. How did you install, did you try RC3 yet, the one I am trying to install is RC3 but I see you tried 2030102. Still, I was successful in installing XBMC on my Sony XPeria phone, the same RC3. So the package download was fine.

What steps did you actually take to be able to proceed with the install?

Thanks mate.

Has anyone tried the forked version with hardware acceleration?
