Wireless speed

Postby Milohaze » Fri Dec 07, 2012 1:08 pm

Hello,

I've recently acquired MK802II device and I'm currently trying things.
Something that bugs me for the past 2 days is, I'm unable to play 1080p HD movie rips w/o interruptions.

Anyone managed to achieve that? If yes, how please?

I'm suspecting the speed of the wireless have something to do with that.
Via FTP upload it ranges between 1200 and 1800 kbytes/sec and it fluctuates a lot. This is with direct visibility between the wireless router and the device, and distance less then 1 meter.
Any way to stabilize it and increase it?

Firmware is the latest available on the website.

Thank you forward.

Had partial success with U1A-404_000_10_121024.rar image (search the forum), but that image doesn't support the data miniUSB port (or at least it didn't with my MK802II) so I've reverted back.
If I remember correctly, the speed went up to 2.5 mb/s and was relatively steady. I've checked several 1080p RIP's and most of them were fine.
Wireless distance about 2 meters.

If you have powered USB hub you may give it a try. Using not powered isn't good (wireless keyboard/mouse dongle + external HDD doesn't work - not enough power).

I can play 1080p HD movie rips w/o interruptions. See details in here http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/01/rock-player-playing-big-video-files-on.html
