Try the Uhost firmware !

Postby loupaschris » Tue Dec 11, 2012 11:37 pm

Hello,

since a lot of people seem to have trouble with the official firmware, and since I presume they didn't already see the other related topics,
I create this new one to talk about the Uhost firmware (U1A-404.000.10.121024).

There's already discussion about it here : viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2512&start=20

Since some days I installed the Uhost firmware on my MK802 II and I'm really happy.
With this firmware you have :
- better flash support (youtube videos dont lag anymore !)
- better skype support : http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/201 ... magic.html
- better cursor (a windows-like one !)
... and certainly other impovements I haven't already seen.

The Uhost was originally created for another device (the Uhost U1A device) but it works just fine on the MK802 II as the specs are almost the same.

Before you install it, just make attention the first time : the default display setting is 1080P. Some televisions may not support it and you could get a black screen instead. In my case it was easy to fix that, I just connected the MK802 II device on my computer monitor, changed the default setting to 720P, and plugged it back on my tv. Now it works fine !

You can download the firmware here :

or here :

I thinks OTG port is not supported in this FW, this can be solved with USB hub.

How did you change the resolution to 720p?

Thanks!

Homman
Skype 3.xxxx ,2.9xxx, 2.8xxxx works with U1A Firmware without green/pink video believe me.
You must try different solution with USB hub, try with powered hub or without power, for me video works but i have minor problems with sound.
Try man you wont lose anything ;)

I am also order Microsoft HD-5000 yesterday
