Hello people,

First of all its fantastic to see that people are making the MK802II more usefull by porting great linux versions to it. I really appriciate that.
I myself am also a "victim" of the RTL8188 batch. Too bad my linux experience is almost zero (dont have much experience with the console except I know how to copy-paste and am formilliar with partitions. Right, I got myself the Lubunt-desktop-12.01something3.0.6+something-miniand version, and I'm curious if both of these files below will get the darn wifi going. I have'nt got a microsd card at the moment. That's why I cannot check it out myself.

Second question (offtopic)... Is this device able to run mame games (mid 90's arcade games like NEO geo and CPS1 and CPS2) without any frameskipping?

Sorry that my 1st post is a bunch of questions.
Thanks and keep up the great work.

You can use a free file host like Mediafire, Multiupload, Rapidshare, 4shared, etc.

Here you go:

kernel:
http://www.mediafire.com/?rduzm93dnvridax
module:
http://www.mediafire.com/?b069rz08ft7jxd8

Deploy the first package to your boot partition and second one in your rootfs

run depmod -a, lsmod to see if 8188eu get loaded.

I don't have answers for you. :D

But I'm curious what kind of controllers you are going to use for mame game. It is awkward to play with your keyboard.

I also had some same issue which become the reason to leave linux. but I search about it and I found that there are some legal reason as like there is a gray area I've heard some people talk about but have never heard of anyone getting in trouble for. Basically, even if your gain and tx power are low enough you are not using a certified radio. Replacing the antenna can annul the entire device. so you also can try it May you get rid from this trouble.

I've bought a counterfeit MK802II without knowing about it. Then I discovered that it carries a rtl8188eus so my linux images wi-fi do not work anymore.

So I've bought a certified Rikomagic MK802II with all bells and whistles. That dump came with the same rtl8188eus screwing my hope. I'm a programmer, not some geek having an entire weekend to simply play with linux kernel without knowing about it. I don't enven use linux on my PCs. It's a environment that I only know how to apt-get a little and setup some embedded product I'm developing.

Any hope of Rikomagic creating a image compatible with my MK802II as it happened with my MK802+ that I can't find anymore?

Anyone willing to port the existing linus distros with driver included? http://liliputing.com/2012/07/linux-dis ... ni-pc.html

How about the new MALI driver? http://malideveloper.arm.com/develop-fo ... e-drivers/

I don't know how to thank if someone enlighted in linux would save me.

I'll share kernel+modules tonight when I'll get home.
If you have the realtek 8188eu chipset it should work with the internal wireless. What chipset the belkin wireless usb stick use?

I uploaded the kernel uImage and lib folder to following urls:
Code: Select all
http://speedy.sh/73HbP/lib.zip
http://speedy.sh/hDUG6/kernel.zip

to install them mount your sd card on your computer in a linux OS to have access to both partitions
unzip the kernel.zip arhive and copy uImage file to the smaller partition(FAT, 17Mb, this is the boot partition) replacing existing one
unzip lib.zip file and copy the folder to / (ext4 partion the larger one)
Code: Select all
cp -r lib /media/<your SD card folder>/

the unmount the sd card and insert it in the mk802 device.

install the iptables
sudo apt-get install iptables
and should work

Is there any way you can reupload these again or someone who has them? :(
