Linux MK802 II wifi problem. Please help!!!

Many have bought a slightly different MK802 from amazon.com such as this one:

The wifi card is a Realtek rtl8188eus (its driver can not be found on Realtek website).

All the linux (ubuntu, lubuntu, xubuntu, fedora etc.) which claim work for MK802II fail on the wifi.

Can someone please help?

You have a not-really-a knock-off, slightly different MK802 II. I say 'not really a knock-off' because it was probably made in the same factory by the same people, the only difference seems to be that these units were built with a different WiFi chip. That chip, Realtek rtl8188eus, needs a driver, that driver is not included in the Rikomagic ROMs.

The Uhost Rom linked in this thread does included the necessary drivers:

The Uhost is by far the best ROM I've found for this version of the MK802 II, the only downside is that it doesn't support the secondary USB port, the one that requires the USB OTG cable. Plugging the full sized USB port into a USB hub solves that issue.

He may look for wifi driver for Linux. I have posted linux kernel compile step. It worked in my mk802ii
