It would appear our devices are doomed already, and RikoMagic arnt any good with their support either!! :(

Slowly regretting buying these now, and to think... I bought 3x of them!! :(

Yes, you're right, at that adress I get now this message: Bad Request (Invalid Hostname).
Let's all hope that at least SmartArt will keep developping their firmware for Uhost stick, and we'll use that.

Gotta agree with danyrolux, there's no denying that uHost software is far supior ( <-- spelling??? ) than what RikoMagic has chucked our way with the last 3x firmware's... and sadly, I think thats the last Riko firmware we'll ever see on this device again.

When advertised on the net, eBay and by Riko themselves, they made them out to be this all powerful device that can....

1) Run at 1080p or higher, sadly yet to see this??? Max is 720p

2) Capable of running / outputting to 3D, again not seen this yet... and when it does, it struggles

3) Be able to play films and games smoothly, again... it cant handle anything more than mid range.

Pretty much most Apps hang or crash... its very slow, sluggish... It just about gets away with what it claims it can do... :(

It looks like the Rikomagic Team still working on MK802 sticks firmware, they just realesed right now on ftp another update for MK802III, hope we will be next, with our MK802II ;)... (Rikomagic MK802III.rar 217275 KB 04.01.2013 14:42:00 on ftp://184.82.248.245/)

I still see the MK802 and MK802 II as "experiments" compared to the MK802 III (and the III S, I guess...). I had an "ok" but not mind blowing experience with the MK802, and the MK802 II has barely any changes compared to it. But the dual core on the MK802 III made all the difference to me.

Bottom line: I wouldn't be surprised if Rikomagic stopped focusing on the I and II, to focus on the III and IIIs ... it's also possible they'll keep coming up with new hardware revisions and stop supporting the older ones... but at the current rate that would be a shame. I think the MK802 is not even 1year old. For those who have the money to switch to the MK802 III, I recommend it. I've owned a MK802+ and a MK802 III, the difference is huge.

I'm sure they will continue to develop the MK802, MK802+ and MK802II firmware platform because the large numbers of sold devices. I guess in the next future will see new updates on the Fikomagic Ftp website.

For me, MK802II device is pretty good for my needs because:
- it runs mkv and big video files witn hardware decoding - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/01/rock-player-playing-big-video-files-on.html
- XBMC Media Center runs just fine - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/01/xbmc-for-android-v10-build-20130102.html
- The Remote Control runs smoothly - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2012/12/download-mk802ii-remote-server-apk.html
- The Flash Player works with no interruptions - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2012/12/flash-player-running-on-rikomagic-mk802.html
- Audio and video calling quality on Skype is good - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2012/12/microsoft-vx-800-on-skype-30-rikomagic.html
- DroidMote runs ok also - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2012/12/uhost-firmware-on-rikomagic-mk802-ii.html
- OnLive games works fine - http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2012/12/onlive-played-on-tv-via-rikomagic-mk802.html

Cheers.
