Regarding the surround question that was asked earlier - the official Android 4.2 firmware (http://www.rikomagic.com/en/download/download_18_1.html) supports 5.1 now!
I checked it on my home theater system with a .WAV file used to test 5.1 setup.
You only need to enable 5.1 in Android settings. It has now to optioms - HDMI and HDMI 5.1.

However, for some reason, the video playback on 4.2 is not as smooth on 4.2 as on 4.1.
I tested it with several players, including MX Player that was supposed to use HW decoding.
The video was slow or jumpy, which made it quite unwatchable :(

Is there anybody else who observed degradation in video playback performance after moving to 4.2?

That link goes to mk802iiis/bt not mk802ii. Should it work?

Hi danyrolux,

Wowzers, what an epic job you've done... I bought my MK802 II (actually bought 3x of them) about a year ago, and to be honest barely used mine since I got it... I found it to be slow/sluggish, and under performed compared to what the eBay listings made them out to do... :( Also found that Official support for these things was barely non-existant... :(

However, just stumbled over your post here, and WOW!!!! Someone has been busy!!! ;)

I was wondering if you have tried ALL of these roms... and which one you would recomend...??

Ideally, I am looking for...

1) Android 4.2.x support

2) Easy and safe to flash (with option to restore to original if needs be)

3) Come with nice GUI, although I have Launchers that could replace stock if not good enough.

4) Be fast, and everything working...

If you know a good rom like that, pref if you have any screenshots would be coolz....

Many thanks, Lister

I have tested all these firmwares on our Rikomagic MK802II Stick, but basicly, not too deeply, the reason is obvious.
Take a look here, each post has a short video, maybe it helps..
