Blinking blue light

Postby bkvaluemeal » Mon Feb 11, 2013 11:28 pm

My new MK802ii came in the other day, and the first thing I did was power it up and see if everything was working. Everything seemed okay, so I proceeded to update the firmware on it just like I did my other one. When it was done, I plugged it back in. This time the blue power light rapidly flashed. What went wrong? I've never seen this before.

Can anyone comment? I could really use some help.

I re-downloaded and reinstalled the firmware to my micro SD and re-flashed it to my MK802ii. I am getting no more blinking light, but a black screen and a quick blurred white line across the screen before the unit cuts off.

For my feeling it looks like kind of demage...
I suppose that you are removed sd card AFTER flashing?

You can try to flash different image from differend sd card.
Here I found list of firmwares: http://www.rikomagic.de/service/database/, try Firmware V1.3 (04.01.2013), it works good enough on my mk802ii.
Next, you can try linux, I like this one: https://www.miniand.com/forums/forums/development/topics/debian-wheezy-lxde-armhf-build
Note that procedure is different, linux is flashing FROM sd card. On windows you can use Win32DiskImager to write image on sd card.

In my case (I had different problems) the problem was with power source. It has to be real 5V/2A.
