It looks interesting.
Could you describe it again, step by step, I dont understand in details what you mean.
What this procedure do?
What is effect of its work?

OHH!!! Sorry for the delay for reply.

The main utility of doing this manipulation is to make boot the mk802 II in Fel mode (like with older version of mk802 when you push the reset button for restoring with livesuit software.)

This is really easy to restore mk802 II with this little trick, you simply have to put the card in the device and boot it with the usb cable plug in the OTG port.
But you need ton have livesuit drivers installed. if it's installed windows will automatically detect the devices and install driver and livesuite will pop out and ask you
what do you want to do.

Ok i will try to make the How to comprehensible loll :P ( I am french but i no know some basic english :) )

First you need blank your MicroSd card ( no u-boot or system on it), If you have anything on the card make a DD
Code: Select all
$ sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX  # Where X is the MicroSD mount point. you can do : sudo fdisk -l to show you your sdcard

After you have erased the devices completly you need to DD the Fel-boot Image on the SDCard.
Link for download Fel-Boot.sunxi : http://www.mediafire.com/?axov61v2jq531o9

put the file on your desktop and do:
Code: Select all
$ sudo dd if=/home/***your name***/Desktop/feel-boot.sunxi of=/dev/sdX bs=1024 seek=8
$ sudo eject /dev/sdX

then remove the SDCard from your card reader and insert it in the mk802 II.
you don't need to have the device connected to your display.
plug your devices on your computer usb port and micro usb on your OTG port

wait util windows find the devices and install drivers,

Now you are ready to flash your device with livesuit !

Don't forget to remove the SDCard after update and reboot your devices because you will need to flash again the devices.

With this method a be able to flash CWM Recovery on devices and test cyanogenmod 10

some link i have use for cyanogenmo

So sad this support. How is possible the only software that work for flash is the shi.. fuc.. PhoenixCard. I never understand that, I unplug all usb devices and nothing is simple, software is stupi... and support too, last update I read more problems than fix.

Now moderator I hope you dont delete my message because I say the true or not?

I tried to recover the firmware like described here, but after I insert the prepared SD in order to flash the firmware, the led will not turn off after a few minutes like described here and the device is still "dead". I do not get any error messages from PhoenixCard, either.
Any ideas how to recover?

Did you got it to work?
Same thing here ! Have no idea what to do

I just received an MK802+ and it worked for 5 minutes.
Upon re-powering, it simply sat there with the power light on and a black screen.
Pressing the hard reset button with a paperclip had no effect.

I'm guessing that the manufacturer does no burn in tests to reduce infant mortality at the customer site.
Somewhat disappointing, since burn in testing is not a complicated activity.
The supplier has agreed to replace the item.
I'm withholding my ebay evaluation until after it works, for at least a week ;)

There is actually an easier method to put it in recovery mode. Insert a sd card , plug the device , wait 30-60 second , unplug the device and voila ! is in recovery mode (you can flash it with livesuite!)

Insert an empty SD card and plug it through the power USB port? Then connect to pc via USB "OTG" port and use livesuite?

Sorry for not clarifying on this , the SD card is the one with the FW and burned with phoenix.

This way, you can burn the CWM with livesuite

I have an 802 II, and tried to update the firmware. Now the machine does not respond, there is no screen display, and when it is plugged into a PC the PC does not see it. I have tried the reset button, another (Uberdroid) image and no luck! Is it bricked?

I can't tell you if is bricked.

I'm not aware of any Uberdroid distribution that will work on MK802II.

If you plug the pen in the power source , and no blue light probably is bricked , if not , probably you need to restore the FW
