Instructions for cross-compiling on Mac OSX Lion?

Postby reakt » Sun Jun 23, 2013 4:34 pm

Hi,
Just bought my MK802 II.
I've been searching google to figure out how to cross-compile for this device, from my Macbook running OSX Lion.
The most up-to-date method seems to be to use a script written by Linaro called crosstool-ng.
However this is not designed to run on a Mac with OSX, and for various reasons modifications are required in order to get it to work.
I've followed several different guides for trying to build the toolchain using my Mac. None of which are working for me - I keep getting stumped by errors that I'm not able to fix. I'll keep trying. In the meantime, if anybody else here is able to build c/c++ programs to run on the MK802 II under Android/Linux from Mac OSX (using a crosstool-ng confgured toolchain or whatever else) - can they point me to some instructions that are working please?

This is the best guide I've come across so far, but I still ended up with build errors that I have not yet resolved:

Many thanks,
Richard

I found the answer. I'm using a prebuilt toolchain I found here:
