Hello,
The bad news : forget the official firmwares, they are buggy and not really usable (audio desync, ...).
The good news : there are some other devices with the same hardware, which give us a lot of alternative firmwares to try.
Recently I've been trying a lot of firwmares to see which one is the best (all credits go to danyrolux and his amazing work ! see
http://www.rikomagic.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3876 and
http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/01/mk802ii-firmwares-gathered-on-one-place.html.
To make it quick, in my opinion the best firmware actually is this one :
http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/03/justop-android-tv-box-v20-rev3-beta.html.
It's still a little buggy (but pretty stable though). I didn't have wifi problems like danyrolux. Some applications seem to be not compatible in the play store (like most of the other firmwares anyway...). But in most cases you can download the .apk (just google the application) and it will play just fine. For example, Tunein radio was showing not compatible, but it works fine with the .apk.
The only thing that I regret actually is that you can't change the resolution, so it may not be working with your tv.
In this forum they talk about the original device and the firmware :
http://forums.justop.com/forum6.html?si ... 39c5f0b9f0The second best firmware is an old one, but still on the top :
http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/201 ... -post.htmlI think most users use this last one.
And a third one, it would be my favourite if it was less buggy :
http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/201 ... odern.htmlIt has a pretty nice interface, I really like it. The problem is that I couldn't make youtube work (even with the provided .apk), and play store works but is buggy. if you want to install gapps with this one, it's a little tricky : by /mnt/sdcard/Download (take a look at the link) they mean the internal memory, so be careful.
Other things to know :
- skype won't work (at least on the uhost and the original firmware, I haven't tried on the justop firmware)
- otg port doesn't work with others than the original firmware. You can use a usb hub instead.
