Postby joi737 » Mon Nov 19, 2012 12:14 pm

HI GUYS,GOOD NEWS.I JUST RECEIVED FROM RIKOMAGIC THE RECOVERY IMG AND INSTRUCTIONS TO RESET THE MK802-III TO FACTORY.LINK BELOW.
a few points when i did,to consider:

-have the mini usb cable connected as well together with the usb to pc
-the batchtool is in chinese, the second box starting from the left means : update
-when i tried to install the driver on windows 7,i had to do it in a different way than mentioned in the instructions.go to installed hardware and locate the one that didn t install correctly(!) open it and change the controller/driver.
enjoy, after 2 days suffering today i could breath again :-)

Didn't though i ever needed the IMG but i 'm glad u posted this, got my MK802III working again :D
After applying quick reboot app, my device would only show the animation on start but then wouldn't load android anymore.

maybe some additional tips for u guys:
1. the first box in batch tool means language, click on it and select the 2nd option. Now u will see everything in English.
2. install usb driver from location: \RockusbDriver. (i read some articles earlier about installing driver from the exe file Livesuit, lost allot of time get this installed properly and flashing with the batch tool only fails)
3. upgrade in batch tool fails, after installing (the right) driver reboot laptop (i got: win7 x64), u can leave the MK802III connected and start the batch tool again press upgrade and there it goes.

I have the same issue as slinky_41. Is this reparable or is it bricked?

I'm guessing it fails on debugging. Try re-download the recovery img, perhaps u should shutdown ur anti-virus/defense program. Check if u have no errors in device manager (did u installed the right driver?) and try flashing again.
Hope it works for u.

I figured it out. What I did was use the 6 and 7 pin trick then I did the flash mode trick. With the two pins next to the nand chip. The hit the restore and from there it ran the firmware restore.
