Hi guys, for anyone having trouble updating the MK802III with the SD card method:

1. Make sure you format the SD card to FAT32 (i tried doing this on a Mac and it did'nt work, doing this on a real PC is recommended)
2. Try different SD cards/USB disks it does not have to be an SD card in the internal SD slot, you can use a USB pen drive too... but you will have to use a USB hub in order to plug in the mouse and keyboard.

For those interested

Basically what is happening here is the firmware recognises that there is a disk attached with update.zip on. Then it prompts you to upgrade, when you select "Yes" the update image is copied and extracted to the recovery partition of the NAND Flash, then the device reboots to the recovery partition which is configured to copy the upgrade files over the top of the existing Android system.

Hope that helps!

So it is a complete flash ptocedure and not an upgrade procedure did i understood correcley?
If yes why it did not work with .img image but only with update.zip?

Does anyone face the recovery or update issue on the ram size?
Mine was 1gb before the recovery, but now become less than 550mb.

Please tell me how to resize the ram? Appreciate your help here!
Thank you.
