Maybe this newer version will help you... http://touchscreen-apps.blogspot.ro/2013/01/xbmc-for-android-v10-build-20130102.html

I use XBMC on my mk802III also (RC2 from this page: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/android/).
It works fine for me provided it:
a) has a consistent wifi connection.
b) does not run out of storage on the apps partition to create it's thumbnail cache.

I solved a) by placing an old router running a wifi hotspot directly underneath the mk802III, but I can't solve b) unless I can find a way to increase the size of the apps partition.

Using Frodo RC3 myself. Sometimes you can hear an entire album or watch a half hour movie with it...
Seems that problems arise when the file is played and XBMC lingers for a while... Either that or it's the firmware.

Check your power supply amp rating. When I used 5V 750mA one the unit kept crashing. Then I switched to 5V 1.2A and it runs fine even with a connected USB hub and a wireless keyboard transmitter and a USB to LAN adapter plugged in.

Hope this helps.

Hi all,

I've installed Xbmc RC3 and I cant get Upnp streaming to work.

I've gone to Settings/Services and enabled Upnp - Allow control via uPnp. Rightclick on Avi-file on my Windows 7 mashine and "Play To -> XBMC" will result in device saying "Working" and then nothing.

I works fine on my Nexus 7, so i guessing it's a MK802 issue. Anyone got a solution?

But it hasn't hardware decode yet has it? I tried the latest build and it lags terrible on my rikomagic iii.

Are you using an external player?

Right now i am using EZ File Explorer with MX player to watch my content from my nas.
