Rikomagic MK802III and USB Game Pad

Postby yuurei042 » Wed Jan 02, 2013 2:46 am

Hi there. I just recently received a Rikomagic 802 MKIII as a Christmas gift. I've been attempting to run games via the device and have been trying to use a Logitech f310 usb gamepad. However, the device does not seem to see the gamepad at all. Are there any extra steps or possible drivers/extra software that can be installed in order to get the gamepad to function? Thanks. :)

Gamepads are hit and miss on these devices it seems. It depends on your firmware, device, etc...

The best would be if you could confirm that this gamepad works fine on another device (your PC for example), and test with a gamepad that is marked as compatible for the MK802 III (logitech rumblepad 2, xbox or ps3 controllers when connected through usb are advertised as compatible) just to confirm there is no specific issue with your unit, and that it really is a compatibility issue with the gamepad.

There's also an app called joystick center which is supposed to help with these issues. I haven't tried it, but it might be your best bet if they have a free version.

with DroidMote you can play all games present in Google Play.

games with gamepad / controller support and only touch games with touch profiles.

look all this games in video:

To install DroidMote Server on your device, you must have root, supersu and busybox installed. (like all other rooted devices)

root without supersu and busybox is not a real root. is a root that can not do anything. :)

Hi Wololo,

Thanks for the heads up. I've actually looked up joystick center 6 via Play and, oddly enough, the store tells me that the device isn't compatible with the program. Curiouser and curiouser...

Via the Play page (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... bjoy&hl=en) the requirements are as follows:

- Android 4.0.3 (or newer) Device with USB Host API Support! (!!! Android 4.2.0 has no USB Host Support !!!)
- USB Host Cable (OnTheGo)

My Rikomagic has 4.1 installed. Maybe it lacks the API Support?

The USB game controller is removed in the FW....
Does this mean my MK802 IIIS, with FW v1.00.1015, wont run an USB game controller?
